Hi everyone, my name is Maria Puglisi.  Welcome to my moments in the seam.  It’s only fair that if you’re going to be reading my blog, whether you stumbled on it by accident or not, that I tell you a little bit about myself and the reason behind MomentsInTheSeam.

I took my first steps in New Jersey, left my heart in California, and now call quiet Lancaster County, PA my current stomping ground.  How I ended up in PA is still a bit of a mystery, but I take it in stride because it’s part of my journey and half the fun is having no explanation for every twist and turn of life.  Granted it’s taken some coaxing to come to this realization, but I fully believe in accepting where you are because it’s preparing you for where you’re going.  The final destination has yet to be determined, but the ride promises to be thrilling!

My busy life has become about living in the seam or the in-between; the moments in between what I want to do and what I am doing, where I want to be and where I am.  I relish the in-between.  It’s where I pursue every creative, inspirational thought that strikes me.  It’s where I take a break from all the things I have to do to indulge in the thing I want to do most.  I might moonlight as a retail manager and handbag guru, but my passion is what I’m doing in the seam; writing and pursuing fashion journalism at the Academy of Art University with the hopes of continuing my journey in the city that never sleeps – Manhattan.

This blog is a chance to live out my in-betweens the best way I know how – writing about fashion, styling tips, and beauty finds while sticking to my budget chic mantra.  But don’t be surprised if the occasional good eats post finds its way onto my blog… because let’s face it; food makes life twice as enjoyable!  I hope you are inspired to begin living-out your own moments in the seam.  And if I’m lucky, this blog will encourage you to make fashion work for you, regardless of budget or location.
